Mai Mahiu Primary School Roofing
Project Description
This project involves the complete re-roofing of 6 classrooms at Mai Mahiu Primary School. The original structures were damaged during the heavy rains in November 2025. Following a formal request submitted by the school committee and assessed by the KenGen Liaison team, the project was approved for execution under the CSR education infrastructure fund.
The scope includes removing the old asbestos roofing, structural reinforcement of the timber trusses, and the installation of new prepainted corrugated iron sheets. Rainwater harvesting gutters will also be installed to supply the school's water tanks.
